The Montana Red Angus Association (RAA) is extending a special invitation to attend the 60th Annual Red Angus Convention. Save the dates of Sept. 11-14, 2013, in Lewistown, MT, the heart of cattle country in the Big Sky. The Yogo Inn will be the headquarters and we suggest you make your reservations now by calling 406/535-8721 and ask for the Red Angus Block.

Sept. 11 will kick off with a Cattleman’s Symposium at the Fergus County Fairgrounds with a special Heifer Pen Futurity, workshops, and luncheon. An added attraction this year will be a Ladies Symposium.

The 60th Annual Convention will kick-off on Thursday, Sept. 12 with the business of the RAA. That afternoon, an added treat will be a trip on the “Charlie Russell Chew Choo,” a dinner train through central Montana.

Friday, Sept. 13 we will conclude the business portion and it will be topped off with the awards banquet that evening.

Saturday, Sept 14 is your day to play! How about some golf at the Red Bull Golf Classic, or maybe you want to hit the “Bale Trail?” Not interested in that, then let’s go fishing or see some of the other sites of Lewistown. You may want to get back in time to load up and head out to the CMR Game Refuge to view the elk bugling.

Join “Monty” Montana and his crew in Lewistown for fun and adventure! Watch for our updates on specific days as we begin the count down! — WLJ
