Hay production and supplies at record low
The impact of the drought was significantly different in the two years. In 2011, the states of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas all had production decreases of over 30 percent compared to the 2006-2010 average, with Texas and Oklahoma having over 57 percent decreases compared to that five-year average.
