CCV launches A New Brand in Regional Marketing

Shawn and Lex Madden, along with Michael Schmitt, co-owner of Torrington Livestock in Torrington, WY, are excited about providing a new concept in video cattle marketing, “A New Brand in Regional Marketing.”

For 19 years Torrington Livestock has marketed cattle through video and has continually seen the need to become more regionalized and felt it was time to start their own regional video company: “Cattle Country Video.” They will provide their buyers and sellers a regional video auction which covers the Rocky Mountain and High Plains regions of Wyoming, Montana, western South Dakota, northern Colorado, northeast Utah, and Nebraska.

Headquartered in Torrington, with local representatives across the region, members include Torrington Livestock, Torrington, WY; Valentine Livestock Auction, Valentine, NE; T&L Livestock, Roosevelt, UT; Jett Livestock, Greeley, CO, Big Piney, WY; B&B Livestock, Chinook, MT; and several independent reps in Montana, Wyoming and Nebraska.

Cattle Country Video feels it will be a big step in the right direction for marketing cattle in the 21st century. They feel that smaller, regional and better focused offerings seem to be the better direction of marketing. Today’s technology allows for consignment, marketing and delivery of cattle in a shorter time frame. A regional sale allows CCV to focus on cattle they are familiar with and have experience with, and market some of, arguably, the best genetics in the country.

CCV has already scheduled sales for the 2010 sale season. Current sale dates and locations include: July 1 in Cheyenne, WY, at Little America; Aug. 12 in Gering, NE, at the Gering Civic Center; and Sept. 16 at Haythorn Land & Cattle in Ogallala, NE.
