TREASURE BULL TEST
SIMMS, MT

Treasure Bull Test has now completed 90 days of their test on 70 Angus bulls. Eight Single Shot Jackpot bulls have an average daily gain of 3.64 with an average weight per day of age of 3.39. The remaining spring Angus bulls on test are gaining 3.54 lbs. per day with an average weight per day of age of 3.25 lbs. The five fall bulls have a WDA of 3.16. The test is being conducted at the Broken O Ranch Feedlot, located 10 miles West of Simms on Highway 21. Topgaining bulls: Top gaining bulls honors go to Lot 153, a consignment of Myers & Watson, Ted & Tim Watson, Livingston. MT, on a 1,365 lb. son of MA Broadside 1334-822 with an ADG of 4.83 lbs. per day. The second top gaining bull is one of the Jackpot entries, Lot 1, consigned by Carstens Angus Ranch, Jim & Frances Carstens on a 1,280 lb. son of GAR Retail Product with an ADG of 4.44. The third top gaining bulls are Lot 114, also an entry of the Carstens on a 1,335 lb. son of GAR New Design 5050 with an ADG of 4.33 and Lot 151 from Myers & Watson on a 1,395 lb. son of MA Broadside 1334-822 with an ADG of 4.33. Other top gaining bulls include: Lot 124 from Jocko Valley Cattle, Marvin Rehbein, Arlee, MT, on a 1,305 lb. son of Connealy Onward with an ADG of 4.28; Lot 117 from Carstens on a 1,270 lb. son of Mytty In Focus with an ADG of 4.17; Lot 145 from Myers & Watson on a 1,350 lb. son of GAR RGL Protégé with an ADG of 4.17; Lot 148 from Myers & Watson on a 1,350 lb. son of TC One Way 618 with an ADG of 4.17; Lost Lake Ranch, Grant & Deanna Harrer, Fort Benton, MT, on a 1,270 lb. son of BHC Payweight 654; Lot 134 from youth consignor Allison Dubs, Billings, MT, on a 1,220 lb. son of Rito 1I2 of 2536 Rito 6I6 with an ADG of 4.11 and Lot 135 from Winding River Angus Ranch, Louis & Kathy Dubs on a 1,080 lb. son of Connealy Reflection with an ADG of 4.11. Weight per day of age: Leading all bulls in the weight per day of age category is Lot 153, the top gainer consigned by Myers & Watson, a 1,365 lb. son of MA Broadside1334- 822 with a WDA of 3.82. Second in this category is Lot 126 from Jocko Valley Cattle on a 1,430 lb. son of N Bar Emulation EXT with a WDA of 3.81 and third is Lot 151, another Broadside bull weighing 1,395 lbs. from Myers & Watson with a WDA of 3.71. Other top weight per day of age bulls include: CS Angus, Craig & Shelby Weirather, Hot Springs, MT, on a 1,255 lb. son of VDAR Cornerstone 3056 with a WDA of 3.69; Lot 124 from Jocko Valley Cattle on a 1,305 lb. son of Connealy Onward with a WDA of 3.69; Lot 6 from Perry Cattle Co, Ryan Perry, Power, MT, on a 1,240 lb. son of MF Destroyer 093 with a WDA of 3.64; Lot 1 from Carstens on a 1,280 lb. son of GAR Retail Product with WDA of 3.60; Lot 155 from Myers & Watson on a 1,240 lb. son of Rocken Horse Rito Grand 504 with a WDA of 3.58 and Lot 114 from Carstens on a 1,335 lb. son of GAR New Design 5050. Topping all fall bulls in the weight per day of age category is Lot 301 from Majic Valley Cattle, Marv & Judy Bell, Mesa, WA, on a 1,445 lb. son of Meadow Acres Nebraska 70 with a WDA of 3.52. Sire groups: The leading sire group is four sons of MA Broadside 1334-822 from Myers & Watson with the four bulls averaging 1,356 lbs., having an ADG of 4.20 and a WDA of 3.65. Majic Valley Cattle has five sons of WMR Hero 357 with an average weight of 1,140 lbs., ADG of 3.66 and WDA of 3.27. Myers & Watson have four sons of SAV Net Worth 4200 weighing 1,293 lbs. each and having an ADG of 3.65 and a WDA of 3.51.
