These bulls range in age from Jan. 1, 2009 to March 31, 2009.
The sale is scheduled for March 24, 2010 at the W.S.U. Research Center. Additionally, for the fifth year, the WCA Allied Industries members will sponsor a trade show. Starting at 8:00 am sale day, this trade show will include booths and presentations of interest to livestock producers. A complimentary tri-tip barbeque lunch will also be held at the trade show. All of these events are free, thanks to the sponsorship of the WCA Allied Industry members.
Prior to the sale, a social hour and forum will be conducted the evening of March 23, with featured speakers on topics of interest to the cattle industry.
Only the top 75 percent of the bulls of each breed will be allowed to sell, based on the Test Final Station Index (1/2 average daily gain (ADG) and 1/2 Adjusted Yearling Weight Index), structure, physical, and breeding soundness evaluation. A low birth EPD section for Angus will be separated. Twenty-seven bulls (over half) qualified for this division with a 2.0 BEPD or less and an actual birth weight of 85 pounds or less.
The average ADG for the 93 bulls was 3.36, with a 3.21 lb. WDA. All of these bulls were worked and weighed electronically by scales and working chute that were made available by donations and corporate sponsorships. All bulls will have ultrasound data collected that is available to the public.
All bulls will have Performance EPD’s and most will have Carcass EPD’s available.

POLLED HERE- FORDS (ADG-3.25, WDA-3.08)— The five head of Polled Herefords were led by a Jan. 20, son of Remitall Nationwide ET 93N consigned by Nordlicht Herefords of Addy, WA. He posted a 3.94 ADG. The top WDA of 3.33 lbs. was recorded by a March 1, son of SB 122L Git-R-Done 19R ET consigned by Circle S West Ranch of Bulh, ID.
RED ANGUS (ADG-3.30, WDA-3.27)—The nine Red Angus bulls were led by a Feb. 3, son of Feddes Big Sky R9 consigned by Mitchell Red Angus of Lebanon, OR. This bull leads the Red Angus test with a 4.34 lb. ADG. He also recorded the second top WDA at 3.84. Mitchell’s also have the top WDA on a Jan. 1, son of Cherokee Canyon 4912. He posted 3.88 WDA with the second highest ADG of 3.94 and is the heaviest bull of those on test at 1,500 lbs. on Jan. 24.SIMMENTAL (ADG-3.45, WDA 3.19)—The 10 Simmentals were led with an ADG of 4.19 lbs. on a March 17, red, polled son of WGC Dream Now 711T consigned by Double B Ranch of Seattle, WA. He also had the top WDA of 3.85 for Simmentals. The second top ADG of 3.88 lbs. on a Jan. 5, black, polled son of Dikermans Sure Bet consigned by Cambra Livestock of Auburn, WA.
SIMANGUS (ADG 3.94, WDA 3.62)—The top ADG of 4.13 was recorded on a March 6, son of AD’s Danny Boy consigned by Schriever Simmentals of Mollala, OR. Schriever also had a Danny Boy792 son that recorded the top WDA of 3.75.
CHIANGUS (ADG-3.90, WDA-3.21)—The six head of ChiAngus were topped on a Jan. 30, son of RDD Acres High 6N 1CA consigned by Grassland Farms of Canby, OR with an ADG of 4.46 lbs. Grassland also entered the top WDA bull. He was a Feb. 27, son of Mt Man Choc 670L that recorded a WDA of 3.44.
BAL- ANCER (ADG-3.17, WDA-2.86)— The five head of Balancer bulls were led by a March 11, son of DAR National 302N consigned by NN Bar Ranch of Creston, WA that gained 3.69 lbs. This bull also posted the top WDA of 3.24
