DAILY FED CATTLE MARKET REPORT
Fed cattle trade on Thursday in the southern Plains was light on light demand. Compared to Wednesday live sales traded steady at $91. In Kansas on Tuesday dressed sales traded at $143. In Nebraska trade was limited on light demand. In Colorado trade was inactive on light demand. In the Western Corn Belt trade was very limited on light demand. Not enough sales in any of these regions to establish an adequate market test. The latest available market was on Wednesday. In Nebraska live sales traded from $91 to mostly $92 with dressed sales from $145 to $147 with the bulk of sales at $146. In Colorado live sales traded at $92. In the Western Corn Belt live sales traded at $91 with dressed sales at $145. Choice boxed beef on Thursday at mid-day was 20 cents lower than the previous day at $155.36 while Select was up 17 cents at $146.84.
