Cattleman’s Day scheduled in four locations

University of Nebraska Extension educators have planned Cattleman’s Day and Trade Show events for Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in North Platte, NE, at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds; Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, Ogallala, NE, at the Grey Goose; Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, in McCook, NE, at the Red Willow County Fairgrounds; and Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, in Imperial, NE, at Zion Lutheran Church, said University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) Extension Educator Randy Saner of North Platte.

Each session will start with registration at 8:30 a.m. local time, Saner said.

Pre-registration deadline is one week before each session.

After a 9 o’clock keynote on “The Future of Food Safety: How it Affects Cattle Producers” with Drew Gaffney, attendees will select from two topics during two rotations.

Breaks throughout the day will allow for visits to the trade show, Saner said. Door prizes will end each of the sessions between 3:30 and 5 p.m. local time. For more information, contact Randy Saner, Extension Educator, 308/532-2683. — WLJ
