and Gary Gilbert held their first
joint Big Sky Classic sale this year at
the fairgrounds in Fort Benton. The
quality, well-bred offering drew a large
crowd, selling at mostly steady prices
throughout the sale. The bulls showed
good, balanced performance with

“Diamonds in the Rough” Angus
Bull Sale, held at the newly constructed
Western Slope Cattlemen’s
Livestock Auction in Loma, CO, was
the first offering of the get of Raftopolous
Bros. from Craig, CO. Seventy-one
head were offered to a
packed house of buyers. The uniform
group of bulls sold to 36 buyers in six
states, and is just the beginning for
John Raftopolous who, with over 700
registered cows, will have a tremendous
positive impact in Angus genetics
in the western U.S. The top 16
bulls ranged from $3,000 to $3,900
and only seven bulls sold below
