MSGA seeks applications for Montana Environmental Stewardship Award

The Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) is currently seeking applications for the 20th Annual Montana Environmental Stewardship Award. The Montana Environmental Stewardship Award is designed to recognize cattle producers whose natural resource stewardship practices contribute to the environment while enhancing productivity and profitability.

Winners of the Montana Environmental Stewardship Award work hard to conserve natural resources and leave the land in better condition than they found it. The winning ranches contribute to wildlife habitat, open space, clean water and clean air. Applications for the 20th Annual Montana Environmental Stewardship Award are available on MSGA’s Web site, www.mtbeef.org. The deadline for applying is May 15, 2009, and the award program is open to all Montana cattle producers who are members of MSGA. The Montana Environmental Stewardship Award winner will be honored by MSGA at the 2009 Annual Convention in December.

MSGA will also nominate the award winner for the Na tional Environmental Stewardship Program Region V Award. From the seven regional winners, one national winner will be selected.
