Fort Worth Stock Show premium lists available

—Entry deadline moved to Nov. 15.
Premium Lists for the 113th Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show were recently mailed to more than 5,500 potential exhibitors for the show scheduled for Jan. 16 through Feb. 8, 2009. The deadline for entering livestock and horses is Nov. 15. Poultry, pigeon and rabbit entries will be accepted until Dec. 30. Entries for horses received between Nov. 16 and Dec. 30, 2008, will be accepted with applicable late fees. The Premium List is a complete exhibitor’s guidebook containing judging schedules, rules, classifications and prize monies for beef and dairy cattle, horses, donkeys, mules, sheep, swine, llamas, goats, poultry, pigeons and rabbits.

With a legendary reputation as an event priding itself on catering to the livestock exhibitor, the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show will also host 17 auctions selling the nation’s best seedstock genetics.

Regardless of their interest, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo has something for every livestock enthusiast. Ranching Heritage Weekend launches the 24day event on Jan. 16 with the “Best of the West” Ranch Rodeo, two prominent ranch horse sales, a Chris Cox horsemanship clinic, and the popular Ranching Heritage Party. Two performances of both the “Best of Mexico Celebración” and “Bull’s Night Out” Extreme Bull Riding follow with the “World’s Original Indoor Rodeo” beginning on Jan. 23 featuring more than 1,000 contestants from the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association competing in 30 actionpacked performances. The Will Rogers Coliseum can fill quickly, so get your ticket orders in early. Tickets can now be ordered by mail through the Stock Show office at P.O. Box 150, Fort Worth, Texas 76101-0150.

On Monday, Dec. 1 at 9:00 a.m., the Stock Show ticket office will open and tickets will also be available from Ticketmaster outlets by calling 972/647-5700 or at Ticket master.com. Convenience charges are added by Ticketmaster and are nonrefundable.
