Cattle herd shows 1 percent decline from 2009

The U.S. cattle herd showed another annual decline when the numbers were released by USDA Jan. 29, however, the decline was not as significant as analysts had predicted prior to the report. The number of cattle and calves in the U.S. dropped 1 percent to 93.
