Lawsuit threatens planned horse gather

A lawsuit filed last week in Washington, D.C., Federal District Court may block the planned gather of 2,700 wild horses north of Reno, NV, next month. The suit, filed by California-based In Defense of Animals (IDA), claims that the planned gather is illegal because the government uses tactics which may "traumatize, injure and kill" some of the horses.
