On feed numbers down 13 consecutive months
The number of cattle in U.S. feedlots on May 1 declined from prior year levels for the 13th consecutive month, USDA reported May 22. According to the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), the number of cattle on feed in U.S. lots with capacity of 1,000 or more head totaled 10.
