2009 federal grazing fees released
An animal unit month (AUM) and head month (HM) on U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands will cost producers $1.35 in 2009, the same as it was in 2008. The $1.35 per AUM/HM grazing fee applies to 16 western states, states where environmental groups and ranchers often clash over land-use and grazing issues.
