Drought lingers in California

Like many areas of the West, producers across California are looking at the skies and hoping for rain that they desperately need. Recent stories in the national news have highlighted the dire moisture situations in many areas of the High Plains where severe drought has been exacerbated by high winter winds, stripping the soil and carrying it away.
