Foster parenting calves

It’s been awhile since my husband and I have had a set of replacement heifers to foster-parent. After we get our calves weaned and sell off the steers, we’re looking forward to doing chores for heifer calves again. The past few years we were hopeful about keeping back some heifer calves to eventually replace some of the older cows.
