EPA increases ethanol blend; groups call for end to subsidies

The cost of oil has plummeted to near $50 per barrel in recent weeks and taken the corn market down with it. Since increasing the ethanol mandate, the federal government has linked the two markets and added volatility to corn prices never before seen in the U.
