Fed cattle trade began earlier than normal last week in the northern Plains and sales trended $1-2 lower in most states despite a slight improvement in the boxed beef. In Texas and Kansas, fed cattle traded hands at $84-85.50. In Nebraska, feds traded at $133.50-135 dressed basis and $84-85 live basis last week.
