Futures give fed market optimism

— Calf, yearling market widely varied. Fed cattle trade last week was just starting to get charged up before press time Thursday, at prices $1 stronger live, $2-3 higher dressed. Volumes, however, were very slight as packers were trying to control the market from being much more than steady with the previous week.
